The Cross-Reference Table is a useful tool to find similar materials to the one that has been selected.
To access the Cross-Reference Table and explore similar materials, navigate to the Material Property Groups section and click on the "Cross-Reference" tab.
To filter the list of similar materials, use the equivalency categories displayed at the top. The degree of equivalency reduces as you move through the categories from left to right, with Identical being the most similar and SmartCross being the least similar.
Identical: Materials defined as identical by SDOs.
Official: Equivalent materials according to SDOs.
Composition 100% - Alloys which have 100% identical chemical composition.
Other Sources - Producers’ catalogs, books, brochures, analysis published on the Internet etc.
Implicit - Equivalents defined in a transitional form.
SmartCross: Smart Cross - Generate global cross-references based on fuzzy sets.
For the most reliable results, prioritize the Identical or Official categories. More details on these categories can be found ......
If the material you need is not available on the market, or you want to replace it, the Equivalents Finder tool allows you to find similar and equivalent material options based on critical properties for your application.
Clicking on the Equivalents Finder menu will display a range of mechanical and physical properties. You can define parameters by selecting properties to find similar materials to your original selection, then set the range type (min, max, approx.) and temperature range, or leave it as is.
You can also adjust the influence of chemical composition on your result list by selecting a value for the Threshold.
It is recommended to add and combine multiple properties before searching and to filter results by standards and sensitivity for the best results.
