# Save and share

The Material Console in Total Materia serves as a central hub for managing and organizing your materials as well as all related activities. With its robust saving features, you can streamline various tasks, ensuring efficiency and ease of access across multiple use cases. Here’s how the saving options offered by the platform can assist you:

* **Save Lists**: Utilize the Material List Builder to compile and save comprehensive lists of materials. This feature allows you to keep track of essential materials for your projects or research.
* **Save Materials**: Use the favorite option to bookmark individual materials. This allows you to quickly return to frequently used materials without having to search for them each time.
* **Save Searches**: Save your search queries to quickly rerun them as needed. This is particularly useful for setting up searches for a colleague or customizing search parameters for future use.
* **Save Properties**: Bookmark specific property records. This enables you to return to particular properties quickly or share them with colleagues, ensuring that everyone has access to the exact data needed for their work.

These saving options collectively enable you to work more efficiently by reducing redundancy and ensuring quick access to essential information. Additionally, they facilitate faster collaboration with colleagues by providing a streamlined way to share materials, searches, and specific property records.

## Access and Share Your Saves

**My Console** is the place where you will find all your saved items, classified in the different types. From here you can see your favorite materials, bookmarks, saved searches, saved material lists, reports as well as elements saved from our Green Line and Predictor products.

In **My Console** you can access your saved elements<img src="/files/cDfhSGrmWhYB8AguLpee" alt="" data-size="line">, edit their name for more clarity<img src="/files/M9zpQVhO2UPLDfzZ5V4u" alt="" data-size="line">, share them with a colleague <img src="/files/UN8qmb7kup33CYnwQJlS" alt="" data-size="line"> or delete them when you do not need them anymore.

## Create and Save Material Lists

Material List are created through the Material List Builder Tool in Material Console. You can add materials to list from:

* Any search results or material lists (e.g. cross references) [Results and Material lists](/search-tools/results-and-material-lists.md)
* or a single material from the "Add to Material List Builder" <img src="/files/wKloMKyHMrTzfQsw8X8L" alt="" data-size="line"> icon on the top of each material page

Saving a list is as simple as clicking the save button in the Material list Builder. You will then be asked if you want to create a new list of materials or add these materials to an existing list.

{% hint style="success" %}
Easily share a material with a colleague either by sharing a link to your favorite from My Console or simply copy the URL from the material page
{% endhint %}

## Save a Search

Saving searches can be a real time saver in cases where you often need to run similar searches or set up the search for a colleague less experienced in material selection. To save a search:

* [ ] Configure a search
* [ ] Run the search
* [ ] Click on "Save Search" above your search criteria

<figure><img src="/files/3D6EozsCliArjZ6Y4HWJ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
On the contrary to Material Lists which are a static selection of materials, saving searches allows you to always find the suitable materials based on the latest data published on Total Materia (regularly scheduled data updates)
{% endhint %}

## Save a Property Record

Materials commonly have several records defining their properties for different delivery conditions or because the values are defined according to different sources. It can be useful to remember which values and sources were used for a specific project or to share the values to use to a colleague.

To save a specific property record, the first step is to filter and display the condition(s) you are interested in and then save them using the Bookmark icon <img src="/files/j35t06Px0IE7f6kYGhse" alt="" data-size="line"> in the top right corner.

{% hint style="info" %}
Other methods for saving property values are available:

* The property record can be added to a report and assembled with others to create a PDF. [Report](/material-console/report.md)
* The values can also be directly exported to be used in your CAD/CAE tools [Export](/material-console/export.md)
