# Results and Material lists

On many pages of the platform you will find material list, they often are the results of searches but they are also present in the form of Cross-reference list on material pages or saved material lists inside Material Console. These lists offer many possibilities, often unknown to user, in this chapter we will introduce them to help your work more efficiently with them.

The screenshot above represents a typical material list resulting from a search:

* Clicking on any material in the list will open the corresponding material page.
* The list contains 96 materials, to view all the materials in the list use the page navigator (1) at the bottom. The material lists are limited to 2000 materials, use the available filters or add search criteria to reduce the list and narrow down your material selection.
* To quickly overview and compare the materials present in the list, the user can add or remove columns using the top left button (2). Each column can be sorted by clicking on its title.
* Materials of the list can be selected using the checkboxes on the right (3) and:
  * Forwarded to other search tools available on Total Materia to further narrow down your search or identify which of the selected materials possess data for a specific case or condition
  * added to [Material List Builder](/material-console.md) to share the list with a colleague, compare the materials, or send the materials to the Compliance and Sustainability tools included in [Green Line](https://docs.totalmateria.com/green-line/).
