The Material Compliance Page provides a comprehensive view of all available compliance data for a given material. This page opens automatically when a material is selected from the list generated by a search in Green Line.
The Material Compliance Page can also be accessed via the panel on the right side if the material was searched through a different method, or from any other property page available for the material.
The focus of the page is on the Compliance tabs, which organize compliance data into specific categories. These tabs may include the following:
General tab – contains regulations related to several categories, including:
Biocompatibility: Compliance with standards such as ASTM F756, EN 1641, ISO, OECD Guideline, USP.
Drinking Water Contact: Standards like ACS, AS 4020, KTW, NSF, WRAS.
Food Contact: Regulations such as EC 2023/2006, EU No 10/2011, FDA, IS, NSF, and others.
Packaging and Packaging Waste: Compliance with directives like CONEG, 94/62/EC, (EU) 2018/852.
Safety of Toys: Standards such as ASTM F963, EN 71-3, EN 71-9, and CPSIA.

Other Regulations: This can include various requirements for cosmetic products, Drug Master File (DMF), sanitary approval, and textile and leather standards.
ELVs (End of Life Vehicles) refers to vehicles that have reached the end of their lifecycle and are subject to regulations aimed at maximizing recycling and minimizing environmental harm. Compliance with regulations such as 2000/53/EC, GB/T 26572-2011, and Presidential Decree No. 33187 is required. These regulations limit the concentration of substances like Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd), Hexavalent Chromium, PBBs, and PBDEs. Exemptions may apply depending on the material's use (See ELVs and RoHs Exemptions page).
RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) focuses on restricting specific hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment to reduce environmental and health risks. It governs materials under regulations like 2002/95/EC, 2011/65/EU, and GB/T 26572-2011. Substances such as Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd), Hexavalent Chromium, PBBs, PBDEs, and certain phthalates (e.g., DEHP, DBP, DIBP) are regulated. Exemptions may apply based on usage (See ELVs and RoHs Exemptions page).
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) tab provides information about REACH regulation that ensures chemicals are used safely and includes:
REACH ((EC) No 1907/2006): Information on registration, requiring producers/importers to register substances produced in quantities of one tonne or more.
Annex XIV: Substances requiring authorization before use.
Annex XVII: Restrictions on certain hazardous substances.
Article 59: Substances listed as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC).
Inventory Lists tab - this tab contains information on various global regulations, such as:
EU regulations: e.g., (EC) No 1005/2009, (EU) 2019/1021.

Chemical Inventory Lists: e.g., AICS, DSL, TSCA.
National regulations: e.g., Japan (CSCL, PRTR).
International regulations: e.g., Rotterdam Convention, Stockholm Convention.
If the regulation is replaced, the icon will appear next to it with additional information about the new/active regulation:
Or if the regulation is no longer in force, another icon will appear with the year of end of validity:
Also, description of the regulation is placed in tooltip:
Hazard tab - Summarizes the classification of the substance or mixture according to classification systems such as GHS, CLP and OSHA HazCom 2012. It includes:
Hazard classification and statements (e.g., H350: May cause cancer).
Labelling: Pictograms, hazard symbols.
Signal words: Such as Danger or Warning.
Additional hazards: More detailed health risks.
Transport tab - this tab provides information on the safe transport of hazardous materials, including:
UN Number, Proper Shipping Name, Transport Hazard Class, and Packing Group.
Environmental hazards for various transport modes (air, sea, land, inland waterways) following regulations like IATA, IMDG, ADR, and others.
Conflict Minerals tab - this tab often contains a statement from the producer confirming that conflict minerals such as tantalum, tin, tungsten, or gold have not been intentionally added to the product.

On the ELVs and RoHS tabs of the Material Compliance Page (see Material Compliance Page – section 2 section 3), in addition to statuses and regulations, there are columns labeled Substances and Exemptions. These can be viewed as separate pages.
The Substance Page displays the maximum concentration values (%) for each substance regulated by RoHS and ELVs.
The Exemptions page lists the specific exemptions regulated under RoHS and ELVs, allowing the use of certain hazardous substances in cases where alternatives are not yet feasible.
The Exemptions are split into two categories:
Exemptions - General Categories: these cover broader categories or types of equipment with less specific conditions. They address common uses of hazardous substances where a general allowance is needed across many applications (e.g. equipment designed to be sent to space).
Specific Exemptions: These describe detailed, specific uses of restricted substances, typically required for unique performance needs (e.g., the use of cadmium in helium-cadmium lasers).
At the bottom of the page, a list of references is provided, showing details of when the producer's website was accessed. This data is collected from various Safety Data Sheets (SDSs). By clicking the "View SDS Versions" button, a table with more detailed information (including the country, year, and version of each SDS used) will open.
