The Compliance Assessor is a module within Green Line that allows for multiple assessments at once, while also identifying compliant alternatives for non-compliant materials. It can assess up to 5 regulations for a list of up to 1000 materials simultaneously.

Quick guide

Step 1: What is being assessed?

Create your list of materials for assessment by checking the boxes next to the materials in any list, then select "ADD TO GREEN LINE" and choose "Compliance Assessor" from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: What are materials assessed by?

In the Compliance Assessor Module, you can select up to 5 regulations from the Regulation drop-down list or by typing into the search box. Regulations are sorted by country, and you can add them by checking the appropriate box.

Step 3: Browse the results

Once assessed, columns for each regulation will appear next to the materials list, showing corresponding compliance statuses. A cumulative status is also displayed for each material. You can switch between Table or Vertical views for detailed analysis using the slider button. All assessments can be saved in My Console and exported as an Excel file.

Visualization of results

There are a few ways for better understanding and manipulation of the data results from the performed assessment.

Results can be filtered for easier viewing by a cumulative status or status by each of the chosen regulations either individually or by multiple selections.

Additionally, there are material filters that support better analysis and management of larger material lists. These filters help refine results based on specific material characteristics:

  • Material Designation – Filter materials by their designation names for quick identification.

  • Material Group – Use a dropdown to narrow results based on predefined material groups.

  • Standard – Filter the list by applicable standards to align with specific regulatory or industry requirements.

These options enhance clarity and control, allowing users to focus on relevant subsets of materials during compliance reviews.

Visualization of the results can be done either in “Table” or “Vertical” view, by using a slider button, depending on the need of result analysis.

  1. Table View: This is the default view. It shows a list of materials with their cumulative compliance statuses for all selected regulations. You can sort the materials by clicking the regulation header.

  1. Vertical View: Ideal for more detailed analysis. Materials are displayed vertically, with additional visible chemical composition for each material. This view allows you to filter statuses by individual regulations and see the status of each composition component for deeper regulatory analysis.

Hint: If the list of materials in Compliance Assessor is large, and user wants to see specific materials in vertical view (in order to skip clicking on right and left arrow buttons a dozen times in vertical view), user should pin these materials in table view (up to 4 materials) and switch to vertical view. Pinned materials will be displayed on the vertical view screen.

Change chemical condition/reference

Some materials may have multiple conditions or references, sourced from various Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) or standards. As a result, the compliance status may vary for the same regulation based on different chemical compositions or compliance statements. You can modify the condition or reference by selecting the button next to the material in the Condition column, enabling a more accurate assessment of compliance.

For example: REACH (EC) No 1907/2006, Article 59 for a specific list of materials may lead to findings of non-compliant or unassessed materials. There is an option to modify the condition or reference by selecting the button next to the material in the condition column.

This action opens a window displaying choices of available conditions/references along with their respective chemical compositions.

Once you save a changed condition or reference, the compliance status of the material will automatically update in the Compliance Assessor list. This ensures that the most accurate and up-to-date information is reflected in the assessment, based on the newly selected condition or reference. This real-time update allows for efficient reassessment of materials against the relevant regulations, making it easier to track compliance across multiple materials and regulations.

Save, Load and Export Compliance Assessments

Save Compliance Assessments

All compliance assessments performed in the Compliance Assessor can be saved for future reference. Upon selecting the Save button, you have the option to name the assessment and provide a description. This helps in organizing and managing multiple saved assessments. If no title is provided, a generic title with the save date will be automatically assigned.

The saved Compliance Assessment can be found in Material Console -> My Console -> Saved CAs.

Loading of saved Compliance Assessments

All saved assessments are stored under Material Console -> My Console -> Saved CAs. When you load a saved compliance assessment, if any material's status has changed since the assessment was saved, information icons will appear next to the material designation and regulation statuses for that material. This ensures that you are aware of any changes that may affect the compliance results.

Users have to click on the Assess button to obtain the new statuses.

Export Compliance Assessments

All compliance assessments conducted in the Compliance Assessor tool can be easily exported as Excel files. Before exporting, you have the option to include additional details, such as the chemical composition of the materials, for a more comprehensive report. This export functionality allows for efficient sharing and further analysis of the assessment results, ensuring flexibility in managing compliance data across various platforms.

Chemical composition data can be included only when exporting lists with up to 100 materials. For lists containing between 101 and 1,000 materials, the Excel export will exclude chemical composition—however, the full compliance assessment remains available in both cases.
