# Comparison View

The material comparison tool allows users to conduct precise one-to-one material comparisons or gain an in-depth overview of multiple materials' compositions and properties.

To use Comparison View tool, the user should add desired materials to the [Material List Builder](/total-materia-integrator/total-viewer/material-console/material-list-builder.md), click the "Add to Comparison View" <img src="/files/LBeIEaYbapGvDwNOIBP0" alt="" data-size="line"> button and select "Materials" from the drop-down list.

**Comparison View features**

The comparison display can show up to five materials at a time. However, the tool can load up to one hundred materials. To navigate in larger materials lists, use the top central arrows <img src="/files/MvX2hncmFjdeSrAr8PdM" alt="" data-size="line"> to scroll either left or right. Use the pin button "Pin material" <img src="/files/5eLE8AjqxcWeIRshHmRH" alt="" data-size="line"> to keep one or more materials visible when scrolling. A material can be easily removed from the comparison view by clicking the icon "Remove from Comparison" <img src="/files/mNCeADO51HC2kiyCeiZM" alt="" data-size="line"> positioned in the top right corner of each material.

By default, the property values are presented in their synthetic form at room temperature, with ranges of all available values regardless of a specific shape or heat treatment. To view the values for specific form or specific standard, switch to Details View and use the drop-downs to select the desired reference or delivery condition of the material <img src="/files/EwnRZ8MEHGbeXzHRk51N" alt="" data-size="line">. Comparison View allows various property group comparison, like chemical composition, mechanical properties or any desired user defined property group can be compared.
