# Delete Materials

Deletion of materials allows users to remove a material from both [Total Materia Viewer](/total-materia-integrator/total-viewer.md) and [Creator](/total-materia-integrator/creator.md). 

To delete a material, click the <img src="/files/le0ASR6VWfZL0P7nDuqV" alt="" data-size="line"> button (located to the right of the material designation), then click the <img src="/files/fxFRal9M3hagAhlBwnR8" alt="" data-size="line"> button (located at the bottom right of the [Create](/total-materia-integrator/creator/materials-management/create-materials.md)/[Edit](/total-materia-integrator/creator/materials-management/add-edit-material-data-properties-diagrams-and-documents.md) Material page) in the Creator section. This action will remove the material from both the [Total Materia Viewer ](/total-materia-integrator/total-viewer.md)and [Creator](/total-materia-integrator/creator.md) section.

Do not confuse the "[Remove material from Viewer](/total-materia-integrator/creator/materials-management/release-materials.md)" and "Delete" material button - the first only hides the material from the [Total Materia Viewer](/total-materia-integrator/total-viewer.md), while deletion affects both [Total Materia Viewer](/total-materia-integrator/total-viewer.md) and [Creator](/total-materia-integrator/creator.md) section.
