🚥Compliance Assessor New
Use Compliance Assessor in Green Line to assess multiple materials against multiple regulations. It provides the status for each material and identifies compliant alternatives for non-compliant materials. Assess up to 1,000 materials against up to 5 regulations in one run.
Quick guide
Step 1: What is being assessed?
Add materials to a compliance assessment in either of these ways:
In any material list, select the materials using the checkbox on the right. Then select "ADD TO GREEN LINE" and choose "Compliance Assessor".
On a material page, add the material directly to "Compliance Assessor".

Step 2: What are materials assessed by?
In Compliance Assessor Module, you can select up to 5 regulations from the Regulation drop-down list. Regulations are sorted by country, can be added by checking the appropriate box.
Use the search box to quickly find relevant regulations using keywords.

Step 3: Browse the results
Once assessed, columns for each regulation will appear next to the materials list, showing corresponding compliance statuses. A cumulative status is also displayed next to each material designation. You can switch between Overview and Details views for analyzing in depth the assessment results. All assessments can be saved in Console, shared and exported as an Excel file.

Do More
Visualization of results
There are a few ways for better understanding and manipulation of the data results from the performed assessment.
Results can be filtered for easier viewing by a cumulative status or status by each of the chosen regulations either individually or by multiple selections.

Additionally, there are material filters that support better analysis and management of larger material lists. These filters help refine results based on specific material characteristics:
Material Designation – Filter materials by their designation names for quick identification.
Material Group – Use a dropdown to narrow results based on predefined material groups.
Standard – Filter the list by applicable standards to align with specific regulatory or industry requirements.

These options enhance clarity and control, allowing users to focus on relevant subsets of materials during compliance reviews.
Visualization of the results can be done either in “Overview” or “Details” view, depending on the need of result analysis.
Overview: This is the default view. It shows a list of materials with their cumulative compliance statuses for all selected regulations. You can sort the materials by clicking the regulation header.

Details: Ideal for more detailed analysis. Materials are displayed vertically, with additional visible chemical composition for each material. This view allows you to filter statuses by individual regulations and see the status of each composition component for deeper regulatory analysis.

Change chemical condition/reference
Some materials may have multiple conditions or references, sourced from various Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) or standards. As a result, the compliance status may vary for the same regulation based on different chemical compositions or compliance statements. You can modify the condition or reference by selecting the button next to the material in the Condition column, enabling a more accurate assessment of compliance.
For example: REACH (EC) No 1907/2006 for a specific list of materials may lead to findings of non-compliant or unassessed materials. There is an option to modify the condition or reference by selecting the button next to the material in the condition column.

This action opens a window displaying choices of available conditions/references along with their respective chemical compositions.

Once you save a changed condition or reference, the compliance status of the material will automatically update in the Compliance Assessor list. This ensures that the most accurate and up-to-date information is reflected in the assessment, based on the newly selected condition or reference. This real-time update allows for efficient reassessment of materials against the relevant regulations, making it easier to track compliance across multiple materials and regulations.

Exclude undefined chemical criteria
Some metallic materials include unspecified residual elements in their chemical composition. These elements appear as Other (each), or Other (total). They are grouped under defined limits rather than identified individually. Suppliers usually know which elements these entries represent. To exclude them from an assessment, select Exclude undefined chemical criteria beside the regulation list in Compliance Assessor.

Compliance Assessor cannot assess substances without a specified chemical identity. Including them may produce an incomplete cumulative material status. Excluding undefined criteria provides more flexibility during the assessment, this option is particularly useful for aluminum alloys.

Save, Load, Share and Export Compliance Assessment
Save Compliance Assessments
All compliance assessments performed in the Compliance Assessor can be saved for future reference.
Upon selecting the Save button, you have the option to name the assessment and provide a description. This helps in organizing and managing multiple saved assessments. If no title is provided, a generic title with the save date will be automatically assigned.

All saved Compliance Assessments can be found and managed in Material Console -> My Console -> Saved CAs.

Additionally, they can be loaded directly from the module by clicking on the 'Open' button.

Load Compliance Assessment
When previously saved compliance assessment is loaded, if any material's status has changed since the assessment was saved, information icons will appear next to the material designation and regulation statuses for that material. This ensures that you are aware of any changes that may affect the compliance results.
To obtain updated statuses click on Assess.

Share Compliance Assessment
Once the assessment is saved, sharing option becomes available. Click on the 'Share' button and copy the generated URL and send it to your colleagues. This allows them to access the saved Compliance Assessment and its results without any editing possibilities.

Report on you assessment
Select materials in the list and add the result of their assessment to Report Builder by pressing "Add to report Builder" button. Assessed materials and their statuses to corresponding regulations will be added to a PDF editor that can further be reorganized and added upon, in order to help create a complete report of work that has been done using Total Materia. For more details see Report Builder.

Export Compliance Assessments
All compliance assessments conducted in the Compliance Assessor tool can be easily exported as Excel files. Before exporting, you have the option to include additional details, such as the chemical composition of the materials, for a more comprehensive report. This export functionality allows for efficient sharing and further analysis of the assessment results, ensuring flexibility in managing compliance data across various platforms.
